Pupils Share Anxieties That Artificial Intelligence Is Weakening Their Study Skills, Study Shows

As per new study, pupils are sharing fears that employing AI is eroding their ability to learn. Many report it renders schoolwork “effortless”, while some say it hinders their creativity and impedes them from acquiring fresh abilities.

Widespread Use of AI Among Pupils

A report examining the utilization of AI in British schools discovered that only 2% of students aged 13 and 18 said they did not use artificial intelligence for their schoolwork, while 80% reported they consistently employed it.

Unfavorable Impact on Abilities

In spite of AI’s popularity, 62% of the learners said it has had a negative influence on their skills and growth at their educational institution. One in four of the participants agreed that artificial intelligence “facilitates accessing solutions without independent work”.

Roughly half of the 2,000 students surveyed reported they were concerned their peers were “surreptitiously utilizing AI” for studies without their teachers being able to detect it.

Call for Guidance and Positive Elements
